The HSM Foldaway is designed to create space and provide flexibility for van and bus interiors. Its thin design, simple foot release, and gas shock assisted lift makes it easy to fold up and store out of the way. Create space for wheelchairs, cargo or other activities.

When unfolded, the seat provides a comfortable ride in single or double configuration. Cushion styles and covers are available to match both the Whisper and Day Runner Series, so it compliments your seating interior.

​Once folded and stowed along a wall, its narrow profile provides ample room for wheelchairs. Its single leg design, close to the vehicle wall, leaves room for floor mounting brackets and other items needed for anchoring wheelchairs or cargo.  The seat’s overall length allows you to layout a bus with Stowaways on both sides and still have wide aisle widths that meet some transit regulations.

For storage, the reclining seat back folds all the way forward onto the cushion. Then the cushion easily hinges up on the single leg to stand along the interior wall.

A chest height lever releases the seat to return to its seating position. The gas strut assists the safe movement of the seat.
